The gas self-closing valve is installed on the indoor gas pipeline of residents. It is generally installed behind the gas meter and in front of the gas appliance. When the gas supply pressure of the gas pipeline is under-pressure or over-pressure, it will automatically close without electricity or other external power. Cut off the gas source, which can effectively prevent gas leakage and issuance accidents.
The gas self-closing valve mainly has the following four functions:
Under-voltage protection function: automatically shut down when gas stop, abnormal gas supply, etc. occur, and keep it closed all the time to prevent gas leakage when gas supply is restored.
Over-current protection function: effectively prevent a large number of sudden gas leakage, such as hose falling off, hose was accidentally burned or bitten off by rats, etc.
Overpressure protection function: when the pressure exceeds the safety line, it will automatically close, which can effectively prevent the gas supply pressure from being too high and causing accidents such as pipe explosion and damage to the gas stove.
Leakage detection function: keep the self-closing valve in normal ventilation state, open the manual switch of the self-closing valve, close the main gas valve, and observe for 5 minutes. If the red lifting button is sucked back, it indicates that the indoor gas pipeline system has leakage.
How to correctly use the gas self-closing valve?
Under normal ventilation condition, if the self-closing valve is closed, the gas can be used only by pulling the outer ring.
Some users will manually close the self-closing valve after using the gas. This is not right. Frequent opening and closing can easily cause the self-closing valve to fail and cause air leakage. When the gas needs to be turned off, close the front valve.
Close the front valve under normal gas consumption. At this time, the self-closing valve will automatically close and the flame will go out. Open the front valve again. If the stove cannot be ignited, it indicates that the self-closing valve is closed well. If the stove can still be ignited, it indicates that there may be a problem with the self-closing valve.
